It is time to stop referring to the current Republican party as the conservative political party. The MAGA movement eats away at was once the Grand Old Party as its leader speaks only in superlatives as he appeals to the worst fears and basest instincts of the American people. It is a movement that fosters distrust of the election process and of our justice system for unfounded reasons based on conspiracy theories. It is time for true conservatives to find an alternative to the extremism the MAGA movement represents.
