To my Republican neighbors…I am a lifelong Democrat and as such, likely you think that we are diametrically opposed on all issues.   You probably think I am for fully open borders but that’s not true.  I can see the problems that exist at the border and understand that border security and immigration need to be addressed.  You probably think that I am out to take your guns away.  Actually, I believe that responsible gun owners have a right to own guns.   But I do want to find a solution to the gun violence that ravages our country.  I too think that prices are too high at the grocery store and at the pump.  We all share that burden.  If we could have a dialogue, we might be able to find points of agreement on which to move forward an agenda that works for ALL OF US.   The solution to our political inertia and polarization is bottom up and not top down.  Let’s get together for coffee and make it happen!
